About the Program

Kentucky’s Medical Debt Relief Program is a statewide initiative designed to provide financial relief to eligible Kentuckians by eliminating qualifying medical debt. The program leverages state funding to purchase medical debt for a fraction of its face value, allowing each dollar invested to provide significantly greater relief.

Our Partnership

The Commonwealth of Kentucky partners with Undue Medical Debt, a national nonprofit that works with participating health care providers and debt holders to identify, acquire and erase qualifying medical debt. Undue Medical Debt manages the debt relief process, and eligible Kentuckians do not need to apply.
